Mandy comes for another visit

She's being fairly assertive about the chair today, Mandy is, and they are both being very good dogs. I don't have the camera at home with me today, so we'll have to look at this photo from the last time Mandy was here. It's pretty much what they are doing right now.

We've got some dog biscuits in the oven and are having a pretty swell Saturday night. Maybe we'll watch a movie or something.

They seem to be having fun and enjoying each other's company (in a very "big teeth" kind of way). It is good to have company

They are so, so, so cute -- and so beautiful! They also look like they're having quite a laugh over something, though they were probably both just talking at the same time.

Also, I confess that I covet that scrumptious chair.

So, if there was also knitting, would it be fair to call this a "stitch 'n' bitch"?

They seem to talk over each other pretty constantly -- very much seems like they are having fun, although someone not familiar with dogs might mistake the rassling and bared teeth for hostility.

If I could send you that chair, Sara, I would. Be careful what you ask for. I love the color and look of it, but the sound it makes when I sit in it drives me absolutely batty. I spose it could be fixed, and it's plenty comfortable, if you sit still once you're in it. But anyone over fifty pounds or so sits in it, and it makes this loud and ominous thwacking, twanging, sproinging, sound. I'm always surprised not to be ejected forcefully through a window.

On the other hand, the price was right (free), and it looks just right in that corner. And the dogs seem to like it. My beloved Kuba was quite fond of it, in fact. When I got it, there was only one other comfortable chair, and Kuba and I actually fought over it sometimes. Here's a picture of Kuba in the other chair, if you want to see the other chair.

Of course now I have three comfortable chairs and a sofa (plus the very pretty but uncomfortable wooden rocking chair that was my great-great-aunt-somebody's, that I've always had).

Woah! Looks like my dogs playing! Sometimes it looks like they are talking to one another when they go on and on like that. Both of my dogs are sound asleep for the moment. Amazing! A miracle! I dare not move from the chair or they will wake up and start following me all over again!

Beautiful doggie photos! :)
