Ruby destroys another flowerpot!

Ruby chewing on a plastic flowerpot
I dont' know exactly where she keeps finding these plastic flowerpots, but my back yard seems to have an endless supply. They are buried under some vines, maybe, behind the potting shed where I can't get to them? I dunno, but I worry that she's going to choke on the little plastic bits, so I take them away from her. I bet that's at least the 21st one she's found. Most of them are around that size, but a few of them are so big that she can't quite lift them off the ground and has to drag them up onto the patio. And sometimes they're full of dirt when she brings them from wherever she finds them.

Great series of photos! Are Ruby's ears on backwards? Do they point up and meet in the middle? There's a dog in our neighborhood whose ears do that.

(Heh. Verification word: rerack)

Sometimes they do point up and meet in the middle; I keep trying to photograph it, but one or the other always collapses.

Endless entertainment!

Oh, my stars, you mean *my* backyard isn't the only place where plastic flowerpots go to die? I also don't know where they all come from, but Big Dog manages to locate new ones regularly. I think they might be breeding back there.

I have never seen this many plastic flowerpots in one place in my life. I ran into the previous owner of the house last night and she said she had no idea where they were coming from, except that the guy she'd bought the house from was a seriously intrepid gardner, and it would have been like them to stash the empties somewhere.
